For centuries, the handwritten note has been a beautiful form of correspondence. Emoting love, gratitude, loss and thoughtfulness. When an envelope arrives in the mail.. There’s a sense of excitement , especially today. Personal notes are much appreciated and much more personable than an email or text.
From childhood, I was taught to send notes for any occasion, especially upon receiving a gift. It was always automatic and actually enabled me to be more expressive and feel confident as a writer. Till this day, I never hesitate to tell someone how I feel and continue to use the art of writing to express my thanks.
I even became a card maker as an adult, creating something beautiful to give as a gift or send as my own cards. Please begin to incorporate this small gesture into this hectic world, and most importantly, teach your children to use this art.
